We are in desperate need of Foster homes

Are you willing to open up your home and heart to a homeless Cat or Kitten? How about Fostering?

For more information click here.

We have many wonderful feline friends up for adoption, but please remember taking a Cat into your home is a commitment for the life of the animal which can range up to 20 years or more.

We ask this because some of the main reasons Cats are returned are as follows:

If you are planning any of the last three and maybe you should consider fostering. This is a short-term commitment to care for a Cat until it finds a forever home, and for every new foster home we are able to open space for another Cat in need.

If you are unsure whether you are allergic, go stay at a friends house who has a cat. If you can stay the night without having a reaction then you are good to go.  If after that you are still unsure, then think about fostering as well.

There are many Cats and Kittens eagerly awaiting you.  Go find your match.

Our process

Gotham City Kitties (GCK) works hard to find the perfect cat for you. We want you and your new cat(s) to be completely happy together, that is why we do an in-depth prescreening process:

Where to see our cats and kittens:

After we approve your application we will email you to schedule an appointment to meet our Furbabies. Please note applications may take up to 3 days to process.

We always deliver the cats to their new homes and are available thereafter by phone or email to assist with adjustment issues. Complete vet records will be provided at the time of adoption and/or we can have our vet fax them directly to your veterinarian. GCK uses Dr. Bonnie Brown and staff at Gotham Veterinary Center on West 95th Street and Columbus Avenue. Please feel free to call them at 212.222.1900 for a reference.

Our return policy:

IF THE ADOPTION DOES NOT WORK OUT WE WILL ACCEPT THE CAT or KITTEN(s) BACK FROM YOU AT ANY TIME IN THE FUTURE. During our application process you will be asked to sign a legal adoption agreement stating that you will not give the cat or kitten(s) to a person unknown to GCK or take the cat or kitten(s) to a shelter. Since we always take them back at any time there is no need to do so.
