Gotham City Kitties is foster network run by volunteers. We exist because of the love and determination of the people who donate not only money but time, experience and homes. For every home that fosters our cats and kittens we are able to rescue another from a kill shelter. For every flyer that a volunteer downloads and places in a store, it increases the chance for cat to find a forever home.
15 Ways to You Can Support Gotham City Kitties
1. Donate Money
The adoption fee people pay when adopting a cat/kitten covers a very small portion of the costs associated with rescuing it. Bill a monthly contribution to your credit card. Have your family make a donation in your name instead of buying birthday or Christmas (holiday) presents. Or, why not make a contribution in someone’s honor? Lastly, check to see if your employer will match your donation. All contributions make a big difference. GCK is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductable.
2. Foster
Can’t adopt? Why not foster? Fostering is a wonderful way to enjoy the benefits of having a cat without the lifetime commitment. We pay for all medical expenses as well as provide you with the option of food and litter. (Providing food/litter for your foster cat is also a deductable donation.) There are many benefits of taking a rescued animal temporarily into your home including providing GCK with the opportunity to rescue another cat in need. Fostering a shy cat gives a quiet environment with one-on-one attention so the kitty’s true personality can shine through. You get to see first hand the difference that you make when you send the little furbaby off to its new forever home. To find out more about our foster program click here.
3. Donate Supplies
We have a wish list of supplies and equipment we need to keep our babies fed and comfortable. Instead of throwing away those gently used items donate them to us. Check here to see what we need right now.
